Book Festival
To mark the unveiling of our new Women in War exhibition at the Memorial Spire, we are delighted to welcome a host of fabulous female authors for our inaugural book festival. The Women in War exhibition features 9 steel silhouettes of incredible women created by the team from Standing With Giants who were responsible for the incredible D-Day display in Normandy in 2024.
The Festival takes place over two days and features a variety of themed sessions.

An audience with Candy Adkins - daughter of Jackie Moggeridge, ATA member and the UK’s first female commercial airline pilot and Liz McElwee, daughter of Flt Lt George Milson DFC, a POW and author of the book From Coningsby to the Far East and Back Again. Chaired by IBCC Trustee and modern giant, Baroness Sarah Hogg.

Book nowHosted by Lincolnshire Chef, passionate gardener and author, Rachel Green, this afternoon tea and talk will feature stories from the home front including from the Women's Institute. Rachel will work with the IBCC Chefs to create a delicious selection of tempting treats, all served on vintage crockery.
